Progetto “Erasmus Mundus - CANEM II”

Una delegazione di 25 studenti dall’Asia Centrale è in arrivo nell’ambito del progetto Erasmus Mundus “Central Asian Network of Economics and Management (CANEM II)”, focalizzato sui settori Gestione aziendale, Economia e Pubblica Amministrazione. Si tratta della seconda edizione del progetto triennale “CANEM”, che ci ha consentito di ospitare nello scorso anno accademico un altro nutrito gruppo di studenti tra cui, per la prima volta in Ateneo, alcuni provenienti dal Turkmenistan.

I progetti “CANEM I” e “II” coinvolgono un consorzio costituito da quindici Università dell’Asia Centrale (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan e Uzbekistan) e le seguenti Università Comunitarie: Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Universidad de Las Islas Baleares, University of Huddersfield Business School, Banking Institute/College of Banking in Praga. “CANEM II” distribuirà in tre anni 135 borse di mobilità, della durata media di circa 10 mesi.
Obiettivo principale di “CANEM II” è il rafforzamento del potenziale del sistema educativo centro-asiatico, mediante l’introduzione di tecniche d’insegnamento moderne, di una più ampia letteratura specifica e delle migliori prassi internazionali, cosicché i laureati si possano approcciare a uno scenario quanto mai complesso quale quello del Centro Asia. Il coinvolgimento degli equivalenti Ministeri dell’Istruzione farà in modo che i risultati del progetto abbiano impatto anche sulla promozione di policy di approccio al Processo di Bologna.

Il progetto riserva altresì attenzione allo staff training: decision-maker saranno formati in corsi intensivi centrati su diversi aspetti della vita universitaria: governance, riforme curriculari, qualità e valutazione, gestione delle risorse umane. In tal modo, le competenze in seno all’Ateneo offriranno un notevole contributo allo sviluppo della capacity building delle Istituzioni dei Paesi Partner, così come tali competenze sono state utilizzate negli ultimi anni in diversi progetti Comunitari di cooperazione, alcuni dei quali hanno ricevuto particolare riconoscimento da parte dei competenti Ministeri e hanno contribuito a rinsaldare i rapporti con le repubbliche ex-URSS nonché ad accrescere la dimensione internazionale dell'offerta didattica dell'Ateneo.

The Project "Erasmus Mundus - CANEM II"

A delegation of 25 students from Central Asia has just arrived in Genoa under the Erasmus Mundus project "Central Asian Network of Economics and Management (CANEM II)", focused on Business Management, Economics and Public Administration. This is the second edition of the three-year project "CANEM", which allowed us to host in the last academic year another large group of students including, for the first time in this University, some from Turkmenistan.

The projects "CANEM I" and "II" involve a consortium consisting of fifteen Universities of Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan) and the following EU Universities: Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Universidad de Las Islas Baleares, University of Huddersfield Business School, Banking Institute/College of Banking in Prague.
"CANEM II" will award 135 mobility grants in three years, for an average duration of about 10 months each.
Main objective of "CANEM II" is to strengthen the potential of the Central Asian education system through the introduction of modern teaching methods, of a larger specialised literature and international best practice, so that graduates can approach a very complex scenario as that of Central Asia. The involvement of the corresponding Ministries of Education will ensure that the results of the project have also impact on the promotion of the approach policy to the Bologna process.

The project also provides grants to support staff training: decision-makers will be trained in intensive courses focused on different aspects of University life, such as curricular reform, governance, quality and evaluation, human resources management. Therefore, the expertise present within this University can offer a significant contribution to capacity building development of Partner countries' Institutions, as well as such skills have been enhanced in recent years in several EU projects for international cooperation. Some of them have received particular recognition by the competent Ministries, and helped to foster relations with some ex-Soviet Republics, as well as increase the international dimension of this University's educational offer.
