Progetto "Tempus Picasa"
Il Contributo dell’Università di Genova alla Politica Europea di Vicinato (Pev)
Nell'ambito del progetto UE Tempus "Promoting Internationalization of Higher Education Institutions in Eastern Neighbourhood Countries through Cultural and Structural Adaptations (PICASA)”, il 24-26 novembre 2014 l’Università di Genova ha organizzato un workshop strategico finalizzato a sviluppare la dimensione internazionale dei programmi di studio, accogliendo una delegazione di 44 Rettori, Pro-Rettori, International Relations decision-maker, provenienti da Armenia, Bielorussia, Georgia e Ucraina.
La Politica Europea di Vicinato (PEV) è stata sviluppata dalla Commissione Europea con l'obiettivo di rafforzare la stabilità, la sicurezza e il benessere dell’Unione Europea e di Paesi prossimi all’UE, situati sia nell’Europa dell'Est, sia in Medio Oriente e in Nord Africa. La PEV offre ai Paesi partner la possibilità di cooperare con l’Unione a livello politico, economico e culturale, promuovendo la democrazia, lo stato di diritto e il rispetto dei diritti umani, nonché i principi dell'economia di mercato e dello sviluppo sostenibile.
Tale evento formativo è una delle importanti azioni volte all'internazionalizzazione dell'offerta didattica dei Paesi Partner, mediante un avvicinamento dei sistemi di istruzione superiore armeno, bielorusso, georgiano e ucraino verso le politiche e pratiche dell'UE, in modo da rendere quanto più agevole possibile l'articolato processo di approccio all'integrazione europea che questi Paesi stanno affrontando.
Il progetto, coordinato dall’armena "Yerevan State University", coinvolge un consorzio composto da 3 Università armene, 4 georgiane, 4 ucraine e 3 bielorusse, nonché i rispettivi Ministeri dell'Istruzione superiore di detti Paesi Partner, e i seguenti 5 Istituti di Istruzione superiore dell’UE: Leuven University College – Belgio, Centro Studi ed Iniziative Europeo – Italia, World University Service – Austria, Roehampton University – Regno Unito, Università di Genova.
Il progetto PICASA durerà fino al novembre 2016. Le prossime attività riguardano l'identificazione di alcuni corsi di studio delle Università dell’UE, da introdurre quali buone pratiche nell'offerta didattica delle Università dei Paesi Partner, con l’obiettivo di promuovere un processo di revisione e sviluppo della dimensione internazionale dei programmi accademici.
Per quanto concerne il contributo dell'Università di Genova, si è stipulato un accordo preliminare che vede il coinvolgimento della Scuola di Scienze Sociali e della Scuola Politecnica.

The Contribution of University Of Genoa to the European Neighbourhood Policy (Enp)
In the frame of the EU Tempus Project “Promoting Internationalization of Higher Education Institutions in Eastern Neighbourhood Countries through Cultural and Structural Adaptations (PICASA)”, a delegation of 44 Rectors, Vice Rectors, International Relations decision-makers, mostly from Armenia, Belarus, Georgia and Ukraine, were hosted at the University of Genoa on 24th-26th November 2014 so to participate in a strategic workshop regarding the development of the international dimension of study programmes.
The European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) was developed by the European Commission with the objective of avoiding the emergence of new dividing lines between the enlarged EU and our neighbours, and instead strengthening the prosperity, stability and security of all. It is based on the values of democracy, rule of law and respect of human rights.
Such training event is one of the important actions aimed at the internationalisation of the teaching offer of the Partner Countries, promoted by the University of Genoa in order to foster the awareness of the Armenian, Belarusian, Georgian and Ukrainian Higher Education Systems towards the new European Union trends and practices, so that to keep as smoother as possible the articulated process of approach to the European integration, which these Countries are facing.
The project, coordinated by the Armenian “Yerevan State University”, involves a consortium consisting of 3 Armenian, 4 Georgian, 4 Ukrainian, 3 Belarusian HEIs, the respective Ministries of Education of these Partner Countries, and the following 5 European Union HEIs: Leuven University College – Belgium, Centro Studi ed Iniziative Europeo – Italy, World University Service – Austria, Roehampton University – UK, and the University of Genoa.
The PICASA project will last until November 2016. Its next tasks concern the identification of some study programmes from EU Universities, to be adopted as good practices into the teaching offer of the Partner Countries’ Universities, so that the academic programmes of the Armenian, Georgian, Ukrainian and Belarusian Universities will undergo a process of revision and improvement of their international dimension.
As regards the contribution of the University of Genoa, a preliminary agreement has been taken involving study programmes at the School of Social Sciences and the Polytechnic School.
